Acumen Academy Circle Host Agreement

Scope: As an Acumen Academy Circles host, Acumen Fund, Inc. (“Acumen”) grants me a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to the non-commercial use of the Acumen Academy Circles name, logo and materials made available for reproduction solely in connection with hosting my Acumen Academy Circle. I agree to only use any Acumen Academy Circles logo which may be provided to me, and not the Acumen logo. In my use of the Acumen Academy Circles name, logo and materials, I will make clear that Acumen Academy Circles are volunteer-hosted gatherings and not Acumen events produced by Acumen staff. I will not create social media identities or accounts using the Acumen Academy Circles name, and I will only use the Acumen Academy Circles name, logo, and materials when communicating directly with participants in events hosted by myself. I will also make clear that the views, information, or opinions expressed within my Acumen Academy Circle are solely those of the individuals involved and do not necessarily represent those of Acumen, its affiliates, or any of their respective employees.

Code of Conduct: I agree to operate my Acumen Academy Circle in accordance with Acumen’s Code of Ethics and any guidance that may be provided to me from time to time by Acumen. I understand that in planning my Acumen Academy Circle events, I am welcome to select any content that relates to the monthly themes provided by Acumen. I also agree that while I may ask for in-kind contributions to facilitate my Acumen Academy Circle (e.g., food, meeting space), I will not use Acumen Academy Circles to gain revenue sponsorship, make money, raise funds, or organize crowdfunding. I acknowledge that I am responsible for creating a safe and comfortable environment for my Acumen Academy Circle consistent with this Code of Conduct. I further acknowledge that a breach of this Code of Conduct may result in action by Acumen, up to and including removal from the Acumen Academy Circles program.

Recording: If I record writing, audio, or video, take photographs of my Acumen Academy Circle gathering to share with Acumen, post on social media, or collect information from my Acumen Academy Circles guests, I will request and record consent from all guests using the provided consent form and email a completed form to Acumen, if requested by Acumen. Disclaimer: I acknowledge that my participation in any aspect of Acumen Academy Circles is voluntary. I accept full responsibility for my participation, and by virtue of my participation, I waive any claims that I may now or hereafter have against Acumen, its employees or its representatives in connection with the Circle activities.

From time to time, Acumen may use any content I post to further its philanthropic mission and further improve the event content for future iterations. I will retain my rights to any original content I submit, but by signing up to host Acumen Academy Circles, I automatically grant (or warrant that the owner of such content has expressly granted) to Acumen a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, nonexclusive, fully-transferable license and right to use, reproduce, create derivative works from, modify, translate, distribute, perform, and display such content (or any derivative work based thereon) either alone or as part of other works in any form.

Future Updates: I understand that Acumen may from time to time update this Acumen Academy Circles Host Agreement and will become effective from the date they are posted to the Acumen Academy Circles webpage, and I agree to be bound by any such updates.

Acceptance: By selecting the box “I have reviewed and agree to the terms and conditions of the Acumen Academy Circles Hosts Agreement” and submitting my application, I have reviewed and agreed to the terms and conditions of this Acumen Academy Circles Host Agreement.

In your role as an Acumen Academy Circle Host, you are also a member of the larger Acumen Academy Community. Please review the Acumen Academy Code of Conduct and agree to these terms below.

Future Updates: Acumen may from time to time update this Acumen Academy Community Code of Conduct and will become effective from the date they are posted to Slack. By signing up to be an Acumen Academy Circle Host, I consent to Acumen storing my name and email address on Acumen Academy’s listerv. From time to time, Acumen Academy may reach out to me for feedback, solicitations related to Acumen Academy’s work or other items that may be of interest to me. I understand that I can opt out of these communications at any time.
